Sample EEO e-mail

Have you been tasked with communicating changes to employees about the upcoming EEO Classification changes?

This is the email that we will be sending out for EEO classification verification. We developed a stored procedure that pulls the employee's email address and race from Vista and creates the email. We plan to enter any changes that we receive manually, as we don't expect many.

The Employer Information EEO-1 survey is conducted annually under the authority of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. All employers with 15 or more employees are covered by Title VII and are required to keep employment records as specified by the Commission regulations.

Submission of the information is voluntary and refusal to provide it will not subject you to adverse treatment. The information obtained will be kept confidential and may only be used in accordance with the provisions of applicable laws, executive orders, and regulations, including those that require information to be summarized and reported to the federal government for civil rights enforcement. When reported, data will not identify any specific individual.

Due to the fact that the EEOC has recently made modifications to the race/ethnic codes, we are asking you to review the current classification we have on file for you. We show your ethnicity as Black or African American .
