Server
The PDS e-Assistant
is a server-side component of the base PDS Vista product. It provides
an array of services, including task scheduling, system account,
email directory management, and workflow processing, to extend Vista’s
HR functionality. As such, it becomes the link between Vista and
the back office, enabling customers to truly automate and integrate
the administrative and workflow aspects of the HR process.
Events such as new
hires, transfers, terminations, status changes, pay changes, etc.
can be initiated, passed along to others for approval, and then
processed without taking up time and processing power on a user’s
workstation. This can all be done within the Vista system to perform
relevant tasks, without keeping track of dependent events, and without
having to manually synchronize information with other systems.
Vista EasyAsk
Vista
EasyAsk is an integrated query tool for managers and users to access
the Vista database directly, without technical assistance or training.
With Vista EasyAsk, you can ask questions in simple English
language and the tool does the rest automatically and dynamically.
Vista EasyAsk translates your question to the programming language
your computer requires to access the Vista database and formats
the result to your specification. Output can be viewed online or
can easily be exported in a variety of formats, such as HTML, spreadsheet,
XML, pie chart or bar graph.

Vista
Security
Vista’s Security component provides a complete array of security
features and options. You control a user’s ability to add, update
or delete information by setting up templates that define access
to applications and data.
Easy-to-use pull-down menus and system screens make data integrity
protection simple, and may not even require a systems security specialist.
Full search and reporting capabilities permit you to monitor all
online activity. And, as an extra security layer, Vista’s Security
component gives you the option to set a password and a specific
ID number for each end user.
A separate, distinct security table allows you to authenticate
each individual authorized to access information within Vista.This
comprehensive Security component also simplifies the process of
deploying information across your enterprise. When you are ready
to deploy self-service in your organization, the Vista security
tool will provide you with an easy method of identifying the appropriate
pages that you want to share with staff. Vista also intuitively
knows who reports to whom and does not require tedious setup of
organizational templates. Simply and easily!
Organization
Chart Reporting
Vista
integrates with the leading Organization Charting software tools,
such as our partner, Human Concepts. Information on your organization
that is stored in the Vista database can be easily exported into
various formats. Because Vista’s structure includes the reporting
relationships in your company, you can create up-to-date organizational
charts quickly and easily and publish them across your enterprise.
Position
Control
Vista allows you
to manage your organization not just from the perspective of employees,
but also jobs and positions. You are able to quickly view and modify
job and position information, making today's human resources manager
more effective.
Also, you can track
a wide variety of job and position-related data, including qualifications,
applicants, complete history, dates, and budgetary requirements.
Based on internal and external dates you select, job postings can
be automatically selected and displayed on your corporate web site.
Viewing the organization from a hierarchal standpoint also allows
uniformity in security templates, workflow management, and directory
services. Workflow routing can be dependent on the position or job
so that even during change or reorganizations the approval process
runs smoothly.
