Self-Service

PDS realizes a large portion of your staff’s time is spent giving out answers to standard questions, such as:

"How many vacation days do I have left?"

"What internal jobs are available?”

“What holidays do we have this year?”

Those questions, though important to employees, represent a true time and expense drain on your staff. But with Vista HRMS’s browser capability, employees are empowered to retrieve that information through your company’s secured Self-Service portal.

Internal and external job postings can be created and maintained via the web. And, based upon the internal and external posting dates, postings can automatically be viewed on your corporate intranet and/or web home page. With Vista HRMS’s self-service features, your employees – onsite and remote – have immediate access to information. And the built-in, comprehensive data security layers ensure that employees have access only to the information you choose to deploy. Vista HRMS offers both employee and managerial levels of self-service.

Vista HRMS is completely configurable so that Self-Service can be rolled out to the organization in phases, as both company and employees become comfortable with its use and thus achieve cost savings and benefits.

Any or all aspects of Self-Service are also configurable to allow for manager approval before any database update takes place.

Empower your workforce

Update functionality enables employees to make changes to addresses, dependent, emergency contact, and personal information, view sick/vacation/PTO balances, payroll check history, and more. Your employees can enter their own timecard, and submit their time to their manager for approval. They can enroll in benefits using a step-by-step Open Enrollment wizard that intuitively leads them through the process.

Vista simplifies your Employees’ experience with self-service using a tool that will step users through common life events such as “Birth of a Child”, “Marriage”, and “Relocation”, for example. This easy-to-use, wizard tool helps simplify the process when your employees encounter a life event and don’t know exactly what data within Vista needs to be updated. You’ll be happy to know that this process will greatly simplify the various steps involved by leading the employee through each page, step-by-step.

During implementation the online documentation is configurable so that you can provide your staff with the necessary HELP that they’ll need to complete the events on their own. You will still be able to configure individual pages within the event, (such as the “Tax” page) along with their own necessary security access. For example, if you prefer that the “Tax” maintenance page is inquiry only and instead prompt the employee to complete a new W4 form, that’s your option. If you want to attach a workflow step to the “Address” page so that the Benefits and Payroll departments are notified of the change that is also your option. This will help you to simplify the deployment of employee self-service.

Routing of self-service changes can be easily configured. With the powerful, integrated Vista workflow tool, you can intercept sensitive data changes before they take effect and then notify the employee once you’ve accepted the change.

Services that managers love

Update or View functionality enables managers to inquire or update information such as company property, courses, direct deposit, education, employee tests, leave accruals, licenses, position information, restrictions, skills, union information, W4 information, and more. Managers can enter time for their employees, or Administrators can gather the time and Managers can approve it prior to Payroll processing.

Other Features

Other features allow managers to hire an employee, create/change positions, while giving them the tool to manage benefit open enrollment, applicant tracking, time entry, and reporting.
