What could be a more fitting theme for the 2008 PDS User Group Association Conference - “Oceans of Opportunity!” Mark September 21st through 24th on your calendar and plan to join us at the Jupiter Beach Resort in Palm Beach County, Florida to advance and progress your Vista environment. The possibilities are unlimited!
The PDS User Group Association (PDS UGA) was formed in 1974 and is still growing strong 34 years later. The current UGA Steering committee met in February to review the feedback from our conference last April. During our time together we discussed a variety of administrative items, but the majority of the meeting was spent focusing on input we received from conference participants on the past year's brainstorming exercise, session content, and overall conference satisfaction.
The users have spoken, and we were listening! We are headed to the beach and we are pleased to announce that there will be an Education track to provide a “hands-on” experience for those users new to Vista, as well as the seasoned veteran. (We've folded the workshops into the conference content to give you what you've asked for!) Planning on upgrading in the near future? Come and take a look at the latest version and hear from those clients who have already successfully migrated to Vista HRMS 4.0!
As past conference participants know we solicit product suggestions from customers in our “Brainstorming” event held at the annual conference. In looking at a draft of the release notes for the upcoming PDS Vista HRMS 4.0 release, it's exciting to see that many of the ideas came from the brainstorming event! So come prepared to share your company's ideas on how to improve the product! Have you often wondered who the person on the other end of your support call is? This is your opportunity to meet the PDS Staff and discuss situations that are unique to your environment, as well as sharing and networking with fellow PDS clients on tackling the day-to-day operations of Human Resources.
As the current chairperson for the PDS UGA, I receive many reference calls from prospective clients. I can never emphasize enough the benefit of attending the user conference. If you are a new client you will learn much more than you can imagine! If you are an experienced client you may want to consider presenting at this year's event. See the “Call for Presenters” page for more information. Participation from users like you is what makes the conference a success.
