Networking, Brainstorming, Gaining the tools to "Unleash the Power of Vista HRMS" – Priceless!
What a great week of networking and learning at the 30th PDS Users Group Association’s conference in October. I’d like to thank all the presenters, steering committee, PDS staff and users for making the event such a success. We all benefit from the knowledge and passion of Vista HRMS product shared at conference.
A big "thank you" goes out to all of the PDS Staff who took time to talk with clients about their issues and questions in the Vista HRMS Solutions Center. Phone time is beneficial, but there is no substitute for getting some face time with the experts.
Thank you to Kelly Heins, Subaru of America; Rita Bowe, Shelter Mutual Insurance Company; Michelle Smith, MBM Corporation, and Kirk Freitas, PDS, for organizing the Tuesday lunch game, Taboo…the Vista way. A great time was had by all the participants.
This year we had three committee members announce that with their term expiring at the end of conference, they felt it was time to give others a chance to contribute. Zondra Hopkins with United Fire Group, Reggie Turner with the DC Court of Appeals and Meribeth Spilger of Fulbright and Jaworski, LLP. Meribeth had served on the PDS Steering Committee for the last ten conferences, part of that time was spent as the co-chair of the committee; she has contributed numerous newsletter articles and several conference presentations on how her company has used the Vista HRMS system, she will be truly missed. The UGA Steering Committee wishes to welcome all of our new members:

While the spring of 2013 seems like a long way off, it is somewhat like Open Enrollment and Year-End. It comes around a lot faster than you think. Over the next several months, we will go back to work reviewing all of the session evaluations so that we can continue to provide the education and networking that the conference foundation is built on. Your feedback is what keeps the Steering Committee and PDS striving to make each conference better than the last.
As always, it was wonderful to see old friends and make new ones. If you have any ideas for future conference sessions or content, please do not hesitate to contact a Steering Committee Member.
If you could not make it to San Diego, our next User Conference event is planned for sometime in either March or April, 2013. The venue will be announced mid-year 2012, but will most likely be in an eastern location! We look forward to seeing you in the spring of 2013!
