Vista On-Premise
The Vista® on-premise option remains a solid, secure choice for many organizations that want their HCM environment in-house.
The same powerful Vista application resides in your data center, and PDS provides system updates via VistaFresh to deliver enhancements.
Benefits
- Administrative access to Vista is significantly enhanced in an on-premises environment.
- Full access to the database environment and utilities, including the ability to execute SQL statements within your own database environments.
- Infrastructure scaling is under your control, allowing you to create multiple database instances as needed.
- Full access to configure jobs and interfaces within the Vista product.
- While Vista offers a wide variety of configurable options, on-premises customers have the opportunity to manage and implement custom code within their environment.
- Vista Fresh, our software update utility, allows you to “whitelist” customizations so program updates are not overwritten. Users can easily manage their own whitelist of features in each environment.
- On-premises users are responsible for their own backups, server, and operating system updates, as well as the timely implementation of all Vista software updates.
- With Vista Protect, PDS can safeguard your on-premises Vista data and software by providing disaster recovery services. These services ensure your data and Vista software are quickly available in the event of a disaster, protecting your payroll and HCM investment from natural disasters, equipment failures, ransomware, etc. PDS leverages Amazon Web Services (AWS) for this protection.
- Release management is controlled by the customer.
- Customer infrastructure investment is preserved.
