Two Las Vegas Organizations Bet on PDS Vista HRMS to Streamline HR, Payroll, Benefits, and Recruitment Operations
Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada Leverage the Sophisticated Features of PDS Vista HRMS
Blue Bell, Pa., April 4, 2013 – PDS, a leading provider of human resource, benefits, recruiting, and payroll software, today announced that the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) and the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTCSNV) have signed agreements to implement the current version of its Vista HRMS® solution.
LVCVA has been part of the PDS user community for 22 years. Originally, the destination marketing organization purchased the PDS solution for payroll and handled its other processes manually or with spreadsheets. With more than 600 full and part-time employees today, LVCVA realized the need to modernize; and now LVCVA has decided to take full advantage of its Vista HRMS investment by re-implementing the solution from recruiting to retirement by utilizing more of the HR, payroll, benefits, recruitment, workflow, and employee self-service functions.
Mark Olson, VP of HR for LVCVA said, “We are extremely numbers oriented. With Vista HRMS, we are looking forward to it giving our staff the confidence that what they put into the system is what they’ll get out of it. We will only have to enter data once and the data will flow through the system. And, if we are able to push a button and get the numbers we need to help us make decisions, then we’ll be successful.”
Coming highly recommended from LVCVA, Vista HRMS was selected by RTCSNV to replace eight individual solutions. With 270 employees at five locations, this transportation planning organization was looking to eliminate duplicate data entry with one system that would accomplish all of its needs.
“We selected Vista because of its overall processes and the way it’s set up,” explained Jerry Keating, assistant general manager at RTCSNV. “It offers the consistency we need and all the information is easily accessible at our fingertips. This will increase the productivity of our staff, reduce frustration, and provide a one-stop shop for our employees to go for all their HR-related information.”
He added, “If people are looking for a system and they are a government entity, I strongly recommend they look at Vista HRMS. We have a very intricate union contract and Vista HRMS has been able to effectively work around the nuances where some of the other vendors had no solution for handling the government requirements. The attention to detail and the attention to client needs that have been provided to us by PDS have been second to none.”
“These are two extremely different situations, but they have similar goals to modernize their operations in order to increase productivity and make data more easily accessible by management and employees,” explained George Brady, vice president at PDS. “We are excited to extend our 22-year relationship with LVCVA and build a new partnership with RTCSNV.”
